The Borough Brewery's new award

The Borough Brewery are at it again. Head Brewer Rory Walker has just picked up his 8th industry award to date. This latest is presented for Outstanding Services to Real Ale, and was awarded by the Lunesdale Campaign for Real Ale. This is quite the honour, considering it is only the fourth of it’s kind to be given out in the last 15 years.

This follows on from an exciting year of both extending their range and opening up a dedicated tap house called The Britannia https://www.thebritannialancaster.co.uk

This award joins their existing collection that includes two SIBA Northwest Gold awards, two Lancaster Beerfest Gold awards and Supreme Champion 2017.

On his new award, Rory commented “I’m absolutely delighted to be receiving this for my efforts, and want to thank everyone that who has supported us. We put our heart and soul into our brewing to ensure we create the best quality beer possible, so to have it acknowledged officially is an absolute pleasure”.

If you wish to experience first hand why Rory won this award, you’re in luck. The Borough Brewery beers are stocked extensively locally, including at The Britannia and The Borough amongst many more. Additionally, our 5 litre kegs of The Borough Brewery’s Lager are now on sale for £20, available to pick up at the Britannia or The Borough. In addition, they will be available to purchase online from The Borough’s Christmas present shop.
