Gill Gratton said: “Dementia doesn’t care who you are; it could affect us all. It’s set to be the 21st century’s biggest killer, with someone developing it every three minutes, and so many people are facing it alone. We’re calling on people in Lancaster to show their support at The St Nic's Arcade event this Dementia Awareness Week".
BID Manager Rachael Wilkinson said: “It’s great to be able to offer this event to Lancaster residents and workers. By offerings free information events we are hoping to raise awareness of dementia which affects around 850,000 people in the UK. Hopefully this event will be the first step in working towards making Lancaster a more dementia friendly city.”
