Hotfoot celebrate 10 years in business with record revenues
A Lancaster based agency that started in the founder’s back bedroom is celebrating ten years of providing creative services in Lancashire and beyond with record revenues.
Established in 2006 by creative director Charlie Haywood, Hotfoot Design provides brand, digital and marketing services to growing businesses that want the attention and expertise of a big city agency, without the hefty price tag.
The company has spent the last decade growing steadily and organically through client retention, which has hovered at around 95% over the last few years, and direct referrals and is this year on target to achieve record revenues with a projected 35% growth.
Clients on Hotfoot’s books include Lancaster University, Fayre Inns, Silver Tree Jewellery and Mighty House and recent new client wins including Lancaster Brewery, Atkinson Vos, Creative Lancashire, and the global software company QiSOFT.
The agency is based at The Storey in Lancaster city centre, which it moved into soon after its launch but has upgraded over time to larger office spaces as the company grew. A decade on, Charlie now runs Hotfoot with two partners, technical director Aidan Watt and marketing director Guy Cookson, who together have over 45 years of experience in the creative industries, spent at start-ups, agencies and corporates in Manchester, London and the States.
The three partners are joined by a team that includes designer Ruth Weston, web developer Niall Robertson and experienced PR consultant Stacey Waugh, and calls on a team of trusted specialists to deliver services to its clients so they get the best talent through a fully integrated and centrally managed service.
Founder and creative director Charlie Haywood said: “We’ve always wanted to focus on where we can make a real difference. Our core clients are small or medium sized companies that are growing and recognise the need for professional help in achieving their goals. It could be a need for more sales enquiries or to increase the perceived value of their brand. We help them solve problems using tried and tested processes with lots of opportunities for collaboration.”
