Get with the apprenticeship reforms with Lancaster and Morecambe College
Lancaster & Morecambe College (LMC) is holding free briefing sessions for local employers to help them prepare for changes to the way the UK Government funds Apprenticeships from this May. This will include changes to the way apprenticeships are funding and the impact of the Apprenticeship Levy.
LMC deliver over 450 Apprenticeships a year for more than 300 employers and have been preparing for these changes for some time.
These significant changes will affect all companies regardless of the number of Apprentices they employ, and these briefings will explain the new scheme and how it will affect organisations. All employers are invited to attend, whether they train their Apprentices through LMC or not.
Briefings will take place on 27th February and 28th March from 5:00 - 6:00pm in the LMC Business and Conference Centre, where refreshments will be provided.
LMC Director of Business Development Jamie Hughes said “The changes to Apprenticeships are significant and wide ranging. It is vital that every single current and future employer of apprentices understands what is happening and how it will affect their business.
Apprenticeships are a key staff recruitment and development tool for industry and we are proud of the role LMC plays in that. We want to be at the very heart of supporting local businesses to adapt to the new Apprenticeship system.”
