Chamber Chat – Josh Rooney
After a very busy 10 months of working we are approaching the Christmas season with pace, and with such holiday comes a vast amount of food, drink, celebration and festive networking opportunities.
I like to think the majority of us unwind and relax as much as possible in the last stages of the calendar year so we return to working life raring to go! (Maybe…)
And as important as it is to get rest, we must still make sure every opportunity is seized to its fullest.
Opportunities can be missed, especially after a few festive pints. So make sure you don’t miss out, have a good time and make use of the office parties and celebrations you’re going to be invited to this year. Whether it be an exchange of business cards or referral to a good friend make sure you finish for your Christmas break feeling proactive and enthusiastic.
We all know how important it is to take action and not let business slide so make sure next year’s return is welcomed with plenty of new faces, numbers and emails. Catch up from that generic Christmas card what was sent to you and probably 50 others. Or pick up the phone and see where old faces are at and what they’re doing, the best opportunities really are closer then we think and are easy to find.
If you didn’t know already, we have our Christmas Business Lunch & Exhibition on Friday 8th December at The Midland Hotel. A great way to start December, with Exhibition spaces available book your place online or see more information at https://lancaster-chamber.org.uk/event/24-christmas-business-lunch-2017 or ring the Chamber Team on 01524 381331 for more information.
