Award winning design studio relaunches in Lancaster

Local design studio, Tom Grattan, has relaunched as Factored, ahead of further expansion and growth.

The change comes following a successful year that has included an expanding team and being named Business of the Year at the Lancashire Business View Young 'Uns awards.

The new name, introduced last week, centres around the idea of expanding and changing the value of clients' businesses through the combination of design, technology and strategy.

Factored has doubled its office space within the CityLab, Dalton Square, to account for two new services, which include a Labs programme for testing and product development, and Academy - a training scheme with regular courses that focus on different areas of brand, digital and marketing.

Tom Grattan, Director, said "We've worked hard for the last three months to make the changes and believe we're bringing something new and exciting to the county. Our output and results speak for themselves, and we're excited to reveal some new projects we've been working on."

Tom began his career straight from Ripley St Thomas CE Academy, when the school employed him as Marketing Manager. He has since gone on to build the business and received international praise from Kevin Roberts, Executive Chairman at Saatchi & Saatchi.

He works in partnership with Daniel Wallace, Creative Director, who oversees the output of the studio. Daniel joined in November ahead of the changes and has over 7 years experience in the industry. "I'm incredibly proud of what we've created and am passionate about crafting great output for clients. Much of what we do relies on aesthetics, but our ability to combine design and strategy really sets us apart. The new role allows me to develop my skills further and create innovative output."

Tom and Daniel will be visiting New York in April to attend the industry's Generate Conference and have been invited to meet leading design studios and agencies.
