A personal message from Alison Bargh about Cancer Care

I just wanted to let you know that I am currently on a mission and I am reaching out to as many people as I can!

A close friend, Sue, is currently on her own journey with cancer and I have seen first-hand the invaluable support that CancerCare give, not just to her but to her family as well.

CancerCare is a local charity that supports families of all ages affected by the impact of cancer and other life limiting conditions, their services are provided free of charge, they receive no government funding and rely totally on fundraising and generous donations - they are simply unsung heroes.

I have decided to help raise funds for these unsung heroes by undertaking a massive personal challenge of walking the full 100km (62.5 miles) route around the Forest of Bowland in 24 hours, in March. I am currently up to 24 miles/7 hours on my training walks.

With only 4 weeks to go, my target of £5000 is a challenge in itself but I am hoping that with your help I will reach my goal.

I am giving it my all so please - if you are able please can you support my fundraising in anyway you can. All you need to do is click here. or you can text CCAB70 with the amount you wish to donate to 70070.
